It is quite a drive from Spokane, especially if you have any "excitement" along the way.
OK, so... I guess a blown trailer tire on Josh's rig could count as "excitement!"
100 bucks later..... Barry played gopher considering Josh made it within a quarter mile of the exit before the tire blew. It could of been worse! |
|
George with his buggy and Kelly's YJ on the HUGE goose neck trailer. NOOOOOO this caravan didn't get any funny looks at all. Not a one. Honest. |
|
After a climb in low range up a dusty road, we arrive at our home for the next few days!
Rich and will are seen here emptying the condiments.
YES I SAID CONDIMENTS! |
|
Sweet view right over the fire pit. At night you can see the lights of Ellensburg only 12 miles away (as the crow flies)
Thanks George and Jeremy for getting the fire going! |
|
The "Devil Dog!" | |
Hey guys! I found us some wood! (George)
He was referring to a fallen tree just south of camp, just in case you were wondering. |
|
Aptly named the Rich-Mahal, the 16x24 foot wall tent was quickly erected.
|
|
The nice thing about having this tent, is that we can have a good time, regardless of the weather. Rain, snow, sun, bugs... if need be... we can congregate inside here!
Barry, Will, and Rich called this HOUSE home for this weekend.
When Gabe and Fam. arrived, they too shared the big tent since 11:15 was a little late to be messing with a tent.
Geez, it's morning already?
Kelly's official "Deer Park Garage"
Gabe cookin' up some pancakes and sausages on his bling bling new grill.
Next time we will coordinate better. Each of us brought enough food to feed the entire GROUP! Thanks to the Sunset Four Runners for feeding us a few times. (BTW, I still owe you dues for next year!) HA! |
|
Testing out the four-link. What do you think? Are we anxious to go wheeling? |
|
What an incredible view! Considering we are camping at 5025 ft, I suppose we ought to be able to see something!
View of Josh's buggy out of the Flexj as we toddle down the trail to Funny Rocks.
Where do we turn? Whadda' ya' mean your other left? |
|
Wish this were in my backyard!
Let the playtime begin! |
